what about me

By Bletiggre

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Lying naked beside her emotions turn cold I reach out to touch her as truths start to unfold Tells a story of her past the hurt from before says "we're going to fast" we just can't be this close anymore I say: Chorus # 1 What about me ... where do I stand in this mess that's come to be a decision of choice or demand What about us... and the magic we share or are you in lust. LIFE JUST ISN'T FAIR! her words start to blur as the memories stir I Remember our laughter and wiping away your tears Dreaming of hapilly ever after conquering our fears Taking risky chances traveling roads we could regret Under the circumstances Am i that easy to forget?? AM I THAT EASY TO FORGET?? Chorus #2 And what about me... where do I stand why can't you see I am a special man What about you... the person I depend between the old and the new between lovers and friends What about us.. CAN'T WE BE MORE THAN JUST FRIENDS? what about me She stops what she's saying sees the tears in my eyes holds me close and starts praying that it will all be alright What about me.. Chorus# 3 Thought we were special a delightful surprise Thought we were special when you looked in my eyes What about me... and all that I feel Why can't you see.. I AM HERE AND I AM REAL What about us I CAN'T FAKE WHAT I FEEL repeat chorus # 1 and # 2 Written October 5th, 2001 © on Oct 04 2001 05:19 PM PST   20 • 0 • 1
