skin my heart beats   feebly like a dying bird against the caging   of my ribs and when the raging sea     I can never   call love threatens to break free   and explode     implode burn with all the heat of       a million   tiny stars my skin subdues me   the translucent thinness     the pale blue veins   delicate curves     and folds it contains me   I am held in place     with fragility   and the waves   crash harmlessly         against the       sea wall1999, Written November 24th, 2001 © on Nov 24 2001 02:48 PM PST   10 • 0
