The Coins you were young   and now you are old from eighty-nine to     ninety (the new decade)     your profile sharpened your chin started to     sag and you began to look     infinitely more forbidding   more fierce       more tyrant-ish but princesses don't age,           do they?   you know it and I know it they simply smile, and hand         in their               tiaras     and turn into queens in ninety-nine you bought       a new crown you aged to a       fat old lady and they had to change the coins             again to accomodate       your increased                       girth Written December 2nd, 2001 © on Dec 02 2001 08:46 AM PST   10 • 0
