Paying for the Weekend

By Cally

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Waiting for the weekend To tick down to terminal Sitting silently, Bored but knowing it won't last, Getting angry At the time that's passed. Watching work pile up To a predetermined perminance, Knowing the hours Of wasted moments, sleeping Anticipating days Of endless termoil, weeping. There's no-one else to blame, Each weekend it's the same, Lounging in the sun While work just sits not done, Late Sunday night, I'm angry Overwraught and tired I'd better get off my fat ass Before I get myself fired.Hmmmmmmmm, one trick pony is me :) Written April 21st, 2002 © on Apr 21 2002 09:29 AM PST   0 • 10
