Weep

By casey

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Souls entangled in love's dangerous game Will they survive ? Ever be the same ? The same old story of lies and deceit Told a thousand times over And still one must weep. Love found and then lost from no other fault Than aggressive libido and no guilt to vault Man's consciousness To something more deep Than a pool of water at the end of the street After a rain. Is it time to change the rules ? Re-write the playbook on love so cruel. Written June 11th, 2000 © on Jun 11 2001 12:58 AM PST   0 • 1
