The Color of Ocean
By Castaway
The Color of Ocean Who said it was blue, By the way, Or green and flecked with foam? Who is that color-deluded person Who did not look And see the myriad lights Glittering in your shallows and depths? Blue – ridiculous – turquoise is closer to the truth, Green – absurd. There were emeralds strewn upon your surface As if some careless jewel thief had dropped his cache in passing. And of the line of charging mystical beasts rising with purity To rush upon the golden shore, What nothing word is this to describe them as foam?
