You Are So Bright
By Castaway
I am dazzled by you, you shine at me and I glitter in your light. Every word you speak to me I file away to turn over later, examining the sentences and pulling out the meanings. When you touch my skin, it is as if I have been burned lightly. I feel the flutter of it minutes afterwards, as if you had left a print of yourself on me. Sometimes you have kissed me and the kiss stays on my mouth for hours, so that I only have to think of my lips to renew the sensation of it, of your mouth covering mine. Your eyes hold onto mine with light and shadow, shifting patterns of contact that burn in my brain and ricochet around the thudding chambers of my luminous heart.
