The Dream

By charente

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Evil lurking left and right. This house awakens me every night. The dream gives me a terrible fright. Feeling my heart pounding ever so tight. It’s grandma’s house and something’s not right. It’s coming for me again tonight. Stricken with fear I fight my sleep. Don’t want to be taken by the Creep. My soul forever struggling to be free. The Creep will take me to the frightful Banshee. Oh grandma what is wrong with this place. I feel the tugging of an unholy embrace. And too my horror what’s bestowed. My soul’s been taken Quid-Pro-Quo. A shadow of my former self. The house and I are one. I lost my fight with divine law. This was the final Coup-de-grace. Written October 9th, 2001 © on Oct 09 2001 12:23 PM PST   18 • 0 • 10
