I love you daddy I know it hurts you to leave One day I will be bigger Then I can come stay with you I love you Daddy Mummy says it is ok to cry I have two daddies now But it is not the same I want to be with the daddy That gave me my name Mummy says it is ok to cry I love you daddy Mummy says I am just like you In so many little things that I do I will be bigger soon Then I can come home with you I love you daddy Mummy says it is ok to cry I will be big and strong soon You will see Although you are not here I know you love me Mummy says it is ok to cry I love you Daddy I wish you were not all alone You can call on me anytime daddy On the telephone I love you Daddy Mummy says it is ok to cry I wish mummy did not take me so far away But soon I’ll be bigger I can come home to stay Mummy says it is ok to cry I love you Daddy I know it hurts you when you leave But I will be bigger soon And I know you love me I love you daddyWritten for Michael.
