The Car Crash

I walked outside feeling brood and fret i sat on the bench where we first met i said all the things you said to me i could feel all the tears run down to my knees i took in real hard and tried not to breath i let out some air and felt a cold breeze I looked to the ground and felt all alone i shouldn't have let you drive home all alone with drugs in your way and beer in your car you crashed near my house it wasn't that far when i heard the loud crash and the knock on my door my mouth couldn't talk i fell to the floor when i finally got up and ran where u lay i couldn't look at you i didn't know what to say i walked to your body masked with my tears i looked in your eyes it was my biggest fear to have my best friend laying in front of me and nothing i could do could bring her back to me i looked all around and saw that your car had smashed into a tree yet here you are with blood all around your hairs all matted and your wallet on the ground what were you thinking how could u do something so dumb i wanted to yell but my body went numb i heard the police man in back of her car telling her parents of what he had saw they said they did all that they could and if there was more they were sure that they would As i heard the bad news i turned to my friend and looked at her eyes i would have rather been dead she leaned into me and whispered these words "i love you girl i always will" with those simple 6 words i grabbed her warm hands and felt her last breaths and the grip of her hand but then all of sudden the grip wasn't there i hugged her so close and stroked her brown hair the tears came down like they just would'nt end i placed her back down and said "your my best friend" i took of my coat i placed it on her and cleared up my throat i told her i loved her this wouldn't have happened if i told you not to go if i said don't leave now there's no need for you to go but no i was mad and told you to leave and look what happened you died in front of me so as I walked outside feeling brood and fret i sat on the bench where we first met i said all the things you said to me i could feel all the tears run down to my knees i took in real hard and tried not to breath i let out some air and felt a cold breeze and wondered will i ever see you again will i ever hear or see my only best friend Written March 16th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 08:43 AM PST   0 • 1
