My dog

By Chris Winfield

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Wolf is my dog he’s mainly black I tickle his tummy while he’s on his back He knows a few tricks, like “sit” and “die” And he really appreciates home baked pie! He wags his tail and breaks a glass Wash and he’ll roll on the grass. He’s a funny dog he likes the vet! Chases cats, not caught one yet. Likes nothing better than going for walks And looks at me as if he could talk He guards the house both day and night And comforts me when something’s not right.I wrote "Kitten" and people assumed that I have a cat, I have a dog called Wolf, wolfie and no cat.
