Christmas Party

Staring into a sea Of smiling faces, I feel awkward And ill at ease. I mean, They're family. I know about as Much of them As they know of me. Once a year, I see them. Never quite comfortable, Never quite fitting in. They see each other Much of the time, Knowing each other better, Never quite knowing me. Hard to feel That family love, That family warmth... With strangers. Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 01 2002 04:35 PM PST   18 • 0 • 10
