Taming Worried Thoughts
One night a dreadful thought occured to me That caused my heart to cry. My man asked me what the matter was And this was my reply: "My dear I've loved you for some time But soon you will be gone. I'll have no one To laugh with, nor to share my favourite songs. You'd promised that you'd love me Until the very end, that time is quickly coming, I'm about to lose my love, my friend" He put his arms around me and stroked My worried head, he kissed my mouth so sweetly And this is what he said: "My girl, I've been my happiest while Holding onto you. We've shared good times together, And they won't be ending soon. So let's enojy this moment, even if it may be our last, And if that is the case, you'll always have the past." Wrapped within his innocence, he laid his lips Upon my face, and as gently as this moment now, He entered me with grace, I felt his love Run through my veins, his lips against my flesh, And when he finished loving me, he laid his head upon my breast "So if you shall wake to find me gone, please remember Where I'll stay, beside you in this common bed Until there comes a day when two young souls will Reunite for eternity as one and until that Blissful day arrives I'll not be truly gone" Written February 24th, 2002 © on Feb 24 2002 03:29 PM PST 0 • 8
