'Socks-To-Go'

By CookieZeal

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I took the chance to find the mate that matched the other from the crate, but from the bunch which I had found one was crewed, the other round; Some were dotted from linted cling, others threaded with kinky string- and while I searched at midnight hour from a brief and powdered shower, I saw the one that I paid dear monogrammed but single here. So now I grope in further search (my Nike's hungry for the perch) to my eyes it fell to sight I'll make real sure the pair is right~ Ah, never mind! forget the blend I'm matching shades, ta' heck with trend- So if I'm wearing socks to please it's one of those, and part of these!
