my mind races as the fair skin on my fingertips begins to swirl around, i can see my every thought, running along my otherwise numb hand my body is still, floored by feelings and notions i never knew i could encompass my translucent eyes, intently fixed on the outward sight of my inner being my simple hand, that once held magical cubes of sugar, was now a breeding ground for my thoughts my feelings were being materialized into small bright figures dancing in scattered pirouettes along my newly trivial skin every sense, human or otherwise, displayed through this window, that is neatly hinged to my lifeless arm i believed in this moment that this was life, i began to forget all that occured before this phenomenon and took this as my new existence, inescapable yet strangely free only to precede my inevitable fate, Impetuous but ultimately welcome, the comedown Written December 27th, 2001 © on Dec 27 2001 10:06 AM PST 10 • 0
