When It Starts
By dancechica
The pounding starts soft. It starts pounding in the brain. As the cry moves in, the pounding moves on... It moves to a more piercing place, Where it can carry out its duty. Its duty is to hurt; Hurt so bad. The pounding moves, from brain to neck. No air! It's good. No air, no speech. Just ignore the pounding. Ignore the cry. But the cry moves in; the pounding moves on. It moves to where it will hurt the most. The pounding moves to the heart. Pump, Pump. The heart ignores the pounding. But it hurts so bad! And the pounding has ways. Ways to sneak up on the heart. It comes in; it seeps slowly in. The pounding is where it hurts the most. In the heart, it hurts so bad! Go Away! This awful pounding! Go away horrible cry! The heart pushes it away. Push it away, far away. A waterfall-the pounding is forced into the waterfall. The heart forces it to leave. But part of the pounding always stays. Stays behind, listening for the cry.yeah, this is my second one. Enjoy. Written April 17th, 2002 © on Apr 17 2002 12:33 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
