Beware of Warm Lights
By danih
I lied down and closed my eyes. I was surrounded by a warm white light. I heard my favorite music being played softly behind me. A breeze swept across my body. The light became brighter and warmer. I was hot. My skin felt as if it were melting into the bed. I began to sweat. The light disappear. I am drenched in sweat. I am left cold and naked. I remove myself from the pool I have created. I put on my clothes. I hear "next" being called in the other room. I look at myself in the mirror, and I am red. I leave the room and all I see are dried up, peeling, red, and dark people. Damn, the tanning bed is hell.\'01, Written February 14th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 11:38 PM PST, Danielle Scarborough 10 • 0 • 14
