Winter's Touch
By DarkBruce
Cherry trees sparkle Glistening from the new snow Pink blossoms frozen Before they had a chance to bloom. Winter and spring In an unlikely dance Creating a strange And very disturbing weather. The chill of winter Reminds me of the bareness of my soul Once I led a vibrant existence, But now like the blossoms My heart and body, Obliterated by the cold. Our love so passionate Seemed perfect, pristine, But now only an icy fror, Frozen in time Like the desiccated blossoms and buds My heart withered You abandoned me for another Left me behind for eternity, in my icy prison Written April 8th, 2002 © on Apr 08 2002 07:21 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
