Always & Forever

How do I tell you what you mean to me Without sounding cliché or like a sappy love song The words seem to be stuck inside with no way out I need a wise and intelligent stream of words Pouring from my fingertips But everything I write sounds so blasé The words don’t even come close to meaning what they should My talent must be failing in my ability to communicate I know when I look at you my heart flutters My hands shake and my insides tremble I get lost in your eyes and never want to find my way out I would give up everything to feel your arms around me To feel the safeness and stability that you bring to me Spend forever locked in this friendship we have created Relish in the warmth and shelter you encompass me with Stay always in the tenderness and gentleness that you surround me with But even these few verses don’t convey what I want They lack the sparkle and flair that you deserve They don’t mention what I think of you And how much I respect and admire everything you do Or how I think that sometimes my love for you will kill me I don’t know how to tell you everything that I want to I pray that someday I will find the words that you deserve And until then all I can say is…I love you always and forever Written April 11th, 2002 © on Apr 11 2002 01:04 PM PST, Tami Ellis   0 • 8
