Standing within your warm embrace I feel the ice around my heart Slowly start to thaw I start to let go of all The anger, bitterness and pain That has become so much a part of me I feel an awakening deep inside That makes my soul sing A beautiful melody full of your name My lips beg to let loose With all the adoration That I have bottled up inside But my fears have me silenced Too scared to say the words That would bring us closer Frightened of the implications That would come after my professions I stand holding you close With tears stinging in my eyes Learning how to breath again With your scent on my cheek Imploring the heavens to give me strength To let you know how much you mean to me Before you walk out the door Leaving me standing here With your taste on my lips And your last exhalation in my hair Without ever knowing if you felt it tooBrad this is for you...I hope you see it and realize what it means...
