Tempest
By DarkDruidess
I stand on the edge Staring down into the abyss Watching the storm build Clouds gathering rapidly Black and churning Maliciousness in motion The wind whipping my hair Boisterous and unruly Its coldness invading my skin Lightening piercing the sky Wicked streaks across the darkness This tempest intensifying Jolting my senses Tears forming and falling Sliding down my cheeks Rivulets of ice Shivering and trembling In awe of the rage That wells up from my soul Matching that of the squall I raise my arms in supplication Entreating nature arduously To let me join in This magnificent power I throw back my head And scream will all I have With all my wrath and abhorrence Of the ungrateful people That surround me Wishing this storm Within and outside Would cleanse my essence Scour it back to innocence Wash the vile thoughts From my heart And return me To happiness lost Written April 14th, 2002 © on Apr 14 2002 04:08 AM PST, Tami Ellis 0 • 1
