War Pigs
By defrage
If the mountains spoke of a burning earth, A poisonous death sewn through the soil, By those with a contract in one hand and a gun in the other, Who would take notice? If the animals cowered in dark caves, Safe from the synthetic winds of chaos, Waiting for the reign of man to end in a storm of fire, Who would care at all? If the war pigs claimed nature's morals, Backing their bravado and weapons of war, While trampling the foliage in their rush towards material gain, Who would question their motives? If they take innocent lives at a whim, Turning the forest into a wasteland, Hoarding all the fruit for themselves leaving a barren desert, Who would resist them?Fire away.
