Signs Of Autumn

O lift your ears to the sounds of autumn crisp and clearSit right down and listen to the creeksHear the fowls honk flying v-shapeCan't you see the face of autumnColored with wisdom Hear the brooks trickling by Hear the jingle bellsOh, hold your horses That's too earlyCome back here and listen carefullyDo not flash that gold just yetTrek slowly and smell the naturalOf the cold air in the midstGolden leaves hang hopelesslySigns of old man winters Not too soon yetCan't halt a running horseOld man winters sameAfter the little witches and goblins Not so fast, give thanks on day of ThanksgivingSee you soon in white deepSoon the man who laughs with a ho-ho-ho will be hereBut for nowEnjoy the twinkling of the golden leaves and redEven the sounds of tingling twilight autumnTake the time to smell the fresh air of coolBreathe the crisp and cool air deeplyIt may be the only time.
