God as been on holiday But he comes back tomorrow When he sees the state of things His head will bend in sorrow In his time, he's been gone a week And look at all we've done He'd only been gone an hour And some fool invented the gun He left his son to keep an eye on us And we nailed him to a tree When he gets back, he's gonna be mad I'm glad it wasn't me We've ripped up all his garden And we've poisoned all his fish Changed the shape of half his animals I bet he'll think that's rich We gota day to get it back The way it was before And if we don't Well guess what, He'll be showing us the door,thought this one up after watching the news on tv this morning ...made me feel so sad to see the state the world is in ..maybe one day one of us will write a poem to sort it all out ,,so I'll keep trying anyway Written March 10th, 2002 © on Mar 09 2002 09:54 PM PST, Dennis T Baker 0 • 13
