Winter Night

By denlexx

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I met her on a winter night She sat crying in the snow I asked her what the trouble was She said her car wont go I said well it's your lucky day Let me see what i can do So i lifted the bonnet And out a big bat flew It sank its teeth into my neck I fell back to the floor Screaming get it off me But me she did ignore I gripped it hard and pulled away At last it lost its grip It flew off into the night To me it gave the slip I turned to see the woman Who had been crying in the snow? But she was no where to be found Where ever did she go? Written January 17th, 2002 © on Jan 17 2002 08:48 AM PST, Dennis T Baker   0 • 10
