Ode To Caffeine
By despotis
Ode to Caffeine At times my sadness knows no boundaries. Floating through a nonspecific snippet of date movie mush. A handshake, a downward glance. The way he looks over his tea. Reflections of anticipation send my subconscious soaring. Landing somewhere between nonchalance and sheer terror. Boundary free sadness . . . unsweetened. They're all focused on me, but it's a part I've never seen in the mirror. The process is futile. Supremely superfluous. Selective life stories condensed. Add one can of water. Mix with hatred, cruelty, and cold realization. Serve the purpose, forsaking dignity. Playing the politician has outgrown us all. Simply sell Whitewater in Advil commercials. © on May 20 2001 05:57 AM PST 0 • 1
