she lives inside me setting up house under my leaky roof inside the scarred walls of a battered heart touching me only in dreams longing beyond comprehension mine, in all the ways that matter I'm stupid sometimes let insignificant others make me insane I look at her picture though I hardly need to her face is etched in my mind her lips like petals of an undiscovered flower beautiful beyond words somehow seeing her with my eyes soothes me in a way seeing in my mind's eye can't her laughing eyes bring me peace serenity in the depths of her soul floods into me, a warm deluge a new smile never discovered until she set up house in the long-empty rooms of my heartfor my lovely Tina, whose eyes reflect the beauty of her soul Written March 14th, 2002 © on Mar 14 2002 11:05 AM PST   18 • 0 • 8
