As Time slips by.
By DocMccurdy
The sun has set, now the stars adorn, Till morning comes, a new day is born, Life breezes by, Times not far ahead, Soon, the living man; All but, he be dead. The fields are green, the flowers dance, Spring is here, a second chance, Live our lives, not just merely exist, Raise our heads, above the morning mist. The summer, the heat, a welcome change, The fun, the merriment, all within our range, The Nightingle sings, those songs of joy, Come let us have fun, come let us enjoy. But, when winter comes, dark and drear, The sky is grey, Man learns of fear, The fire is warm, but hearts are cold, Is it too late now, are we getting old? Years have gone by, I ask myself, Dust has accumulated all over the shelf, Life has passed by like a meteor, Will I ever find what I'm looking for?
