When I see your face On the mantelpiece, I ask myself this question? Oh Dad, was that what was to remain, Just an ornament, A frame on a shelf, Only to remember then, A faded picture in a frame. It wasn’t that long ago, As you took a final breath, In my arms. I wasn’t to let go, Hold you back, for me. For what? To be bathed in misery, And pain.
