Reminiscence
By DocMccurdy
The sounds of waves crashing, The misty, foamy water splashing, In front of me, my youth, flashing, My spirits and my nerves dashing. The thoughts of happiness streaking, The cries of innocence shrieking, The weary, age worn limbs creaking, My wants and my needs, freaking, The sights of little children playing, The Ministers and Disciple praying, The guilty, for his sins, paying, My visions of being no more, fraying. The feelings of solitude forsaking, My feet, on the burning sand, aching, My fancies and my beliefs, shaking, My will and determination, raking. The taste of salty brine, retaining, My concepts and reflections straining, Reminiscence of yesterdays remaining, Reminiscence of yesterdays remaining.
