The kite
By DocMccurdy
Up it rose, higher and higher, Up into the sky, A little child seeing it go, Waved at it goodbye. The kite had now reached its height, And swayed to and fro, It made use of its new commands, then gloated at the crow. All the birds now became scared, at this attitude of the kite, But they favored to stay silent, for they feared it would bite. The kite with all at its mercy, decided to have a ball, It enslaved all the petrified birds, they trembled at its calls. But while the kite was in the sky, there came a sudden storm, Which toppled all its kingdom, from a mighty to a crippled form. So here this from me all of you, never think yourself greater than all, For after every rise you care to know, there comes a sudden fall.
