The moment i saw her face
By DocMccurdy
I had thoughts of beauty, Of styles and of grace, But I entered new dimensions, The moment I saw her face. Beauty in the form of roses, Twinkling of stars in Space, I put all that behind me, When I looked into her face. She looked so serene, so calm, A product of good race, The magic now surrounded me, Was the power of her face. My whole life had thus changed, Since I held her in embrace She was then only ten years old, And cherubic was her face. I met her one sunday morning, Alas the mortuary was the place, Her hands and feet were cold, No warmth was in her face. She lay so still, so quiet, Of movement there was no trace, How I wished she could live again and cheer me with her face. Lord, I beg you tell me the truth, Just isn't this a disgrace, For, how come you felt so jealous, It was you who created her face. To take her so young and innocent, Is difficult for me to brace, All she gave was joy to the world, With the magic of her face. I shall never forget her beauty, As she lay in that white lace, And forever treasure the memory of, The moment I saw her face. Written April 13th, 1990 © on Oct 27 2001 10:59 PM PST 0 • 1
