What will now become of me?
By DocMccurdy
Some nights back I dreamt of thee I thought the whole world was with me, As I am blind and cannot see Oh what, what will become of me. From the day that I became blind, No remembrance of you could I find, But I hope you have thought of me, In love you have sought for me. `Tis saddening to become blind like I, `Tis like to say to the world goodbye, Yet I beg that you won't forget me, In my love, you will never desert me. Then,in my dream that night I thought I saw, That in this poetry there was a flaw, For you had already abandoned me, So tell me, what will become of me. `Tis like I am lost at sea, And no one hears a blind man's plea, Oh, what will now become of me? Oh, what will now become of me? Written September 30th, 1967 © on Nov 10 2001 02:52 AM PST 0 • 1
