and in the falling light, her dying breath extols the promise in the sky of the wonder on approach her majesty transfigured in glory's blinding flash to enter the eternal and fix her destination mourn not the passing that returns upon the morrow but wait for her appearance and the eminent display the skyline sure to shimmer and quake at her coming her own will know her as a memory 'fore the waking we carry her with us beyond the cairn's cold stillness as companion and mentor, to guide us 'long the path and at journey's finish as we make our discovery she meets us at the threshold and bids us welcome home Written January 11th, 2001 © on Aug 28 2001 01:18 AM PST   0 • 10
