The Lessons I Learned

Sometime I see you, In the corners of my mind. You’re in places deep inside of me, That no one else can seem to find. I understand you had to leave, To stay for me was not a choice. So I cry out to the stars above, And pray you’ll hear my voice. I will never understand, All the pain that love can bring. But if I regretted the love I felt, It would mean that I didn’t learn anything. But I did… I learned that sometimes, Some things aren’t meant to be. I also learned that sometimes, You hurt someone unintentionally. The last lessons I learned… Unlike you, I will always say good-bye. I won’t imprison pain; I will dance in the rain. These lessons are worth every tear that I cryI know it doesn't seam to work when you read it in your head. But if you could hear me read it, you would see that it really does work very well.
