Holding On By Nothing
By Dream
Once an unsuspected desire Added to the burning fire Flames glaring in your eyes Love's a dying flower Something sweet gone sour Dying like my hopes and dreams The higher it gleams Dancing flames Of all my pains Hopeless lies Inside your eyes There it hides There it dies Too much concern You make it burn Adding to the fire Wanting desire Heart I broke Burns up in smoke So here I stand While you demand I know you feel it I can't help but see it For I've gone inside I know were it hides So your a little scared Afraid that I've cared You say you mess up my head Wanting that fire dead I no longer have inticipated You seem intimidated By the ropes Attached to all your hopes And I still fear Tha you will dissappear That you'll stop caring And we'll stop sharing That day my last goodbye For I'll be dead Trapped by the fire in you're head Added to the maze Added to the blaze It's not what it seems It's my dying dreams But who could care There's no one there And I'm holding on To something already gone I'm falling in the hole You dug deep inside my soul Afraid I use And you confuse So forget how it used to be That's what's killing me You are nothing Hiding something As I fall inside I see the last glimpse of you're eyes No more a blazing fire You've lost your desire I NEEDED YOUR HELP Now I'm stuck with MYSELF The Lonely PoetI wrote this poem January of 98'so it has a little dust on it from the old closet. I've written since I can remember and this piece is about some of my experiences with first love's. Now mind you I write straight from the heart so emotion plays a big part in my poetry.Enjoy~Dream Written December 12th, 2001 © on Dec 12 2001 03:59 AM PST 10 • 0 • 1
