Sweet Child
By Dream
Life is just a fantasy And nothings what it seems Wishing all you hold within you're hands Wasn't just a dream Waking in the silence of a dark empty world Knowing self-destruction is slowly grabbing hold Feeling that sensation that nothing is this good Feeling like happiness was a story you once told Always scratching the surface Never finding whats inside Innocence is something of the past Something that long ago died These words inscribed upon my soul This heart no one can hold Like a fairytale Life's a story I've been told So forgive me I have lost my way Forgive me for not believing in you When you said evrything was nothing To me it now seems true Sweet child so shiny so new What has the world done to you There you are Behind a dark disquise Wipe away those tears That dround your precious eyes Of all the chances You had so few You've seen the world Look what its done to you Everything so bright Soon fades away Never set free Like the words I wish to say So please forgive me For doing you so wrong Feel what nothings like For my childhoods now gone The Lonely PoetPlease tell me what's going on in your hearts when you read this poem. It's seems to me another piece of the puzzle of my life.~dream Written September 16th, 2001 © on Sep 15 2001 04:48 PM PST 10 • 0 • 1
