Don't you just hate it when that happens? [Challenge Runner-up]

Darkened clouds surround the night sky Mixing with purples and blues and greys... The soft twlinking of the stars shining down Was this a warning of something to come? A celestial milestone of my mortality? This was too much to handle... A blur in front of my tear ridden eyes... The drip, drip, drip of blood down my arm Poorly disguised by the fall of glimmering raindrops I knew that bandage wouldn't hold... Dizzy from the pain... Mental stimulus overcome with flesh torn wounds Slipping into my own dazed dream... Reality.......dream......combine.... Until it flashes... The blinding light of a 12 wheel truck Steamrunning its way in my direction As if my torment wasn't enough My body gives in....I collapse.... Black.......................... Silence.......................... Too quiet to be a dream.... Too real to be a memory... Until I awake Slowly the blurry image clears Who could that be standing over me...? *Haze* My head throbbing from the hit with the floor My self intented wound sealed and bandaged My face sticky with long dried tears I cant be? Am I? The doctor agrees... Suicide has a strange sense of irony Don't you just hate it when that happens...?I wish this wasn't a true story, but sometimes life deals a bad card. I guess this was one of mine...:S Love to all xXx Written March 7th, 2002 © on Mar 07 2002 03:10 AM PST   18 • 0 • 1
