Once Upon a Time I Loved You

By Dzzyredhed

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Once upon a time I loved you, in the misty fogs of morn, way before the dawn of history and before the earth was born. Somewhere else we were together, as old as time must be our love. There is no other explanation, it drifted down from heaven above. Once upon a time I held you in my arms and in my heart, locked within my soul forever and although we had to part, we knew we'd find each other in another time, another space, for we two are locked together with a love time cannot erase. Once upon a time I lost you, wandered through time without a will. A love like ours does not diminish, I loved you then, I love you still. Once again we've come together, found each other at long last, knowing our days of separation are completely in the past. Once upon a time I loved you with a brilliance rivaling the sun. That love for you still is shining our two hearts still beat as one. Forever we will love each other for it is our destiny. Always we will be together, walking through eternity. by Alexandra Webb © June 2001 Written October 13th, 2001 © on Oct 12 2001 06:50 PM PST   0 • 8
