Silken Cords

By Dzzyredhed

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Silken soft, your fingers touch me, through my hair and down my face. Magical things now I am feeling, heart begins its maddening race. Gentle still, your hands do soothe me, quiet now this wounded dove. Stop the trembling, dare to feel now, feel the miracle of love. Strong now is the rush I'm feeling, warmth that fills me through and through, cleansing, healing, power giving, breath of life I get from you. Happiness, though slow in coming, fills me with the joy it brings, lifting, floating, flying upward, soaring as on angel's wings. Loving soft, your arms do hold me, chains of love but gently bind, giving only sweet protection, thoughts of love that fill my mind. Silken are the cords that keep me softly sheltered in love's spell, resting, trusting, loving, giving, safe within your heart I dwell.
