Remember

Remember I remember silence … hanging Like dewdrops from petals Time drifting endlessly Along… silken water Life, ending & beginning A surreal montage Of echoed actions I remember people Traversing life in wading Boots… plodding inveterately Into the ages, a Herculean Effort – for each step I remember the peace… it Came with the dawn + dusk Reaching out… to guide you Through the mazes, created By the insanity of our world I remember days where Night never happened…the world Spinning, or not spinning The light forever filtering Down…into my soul Bouncing around the silence Of my day I remember things As I hear the sounds Reach out, up … to charboil My being, some barbecued meal To fill…a gnat as it eats Through the world Of my soul Mostly, I remember the silence.
