Thinking In Reverse
By Emmerson
I'm hanging here in this moment, Not quite sure of what to do. Waiting for someone to find me, Take my hand and lead me through. Watching as the world goes by, Thinking in reverse. Trying to sing out in harmony, When all I really want to do is curse. So many thoughts are racing, With such mind numbing sensations. Infinite options lay before me, Which one will lead to my destination? Walking through each new door backwards, Looking out of eyes that aren't mine. Praying into the heavens, Waiting for an illusive sign. Propel me into my future, Where I can peacefully sleep. Where there is no more searching, My eyes can cease to weep. Hanging here in this moment, Waiting for someone to tell me to move. Thinking in reverse, Still so unsure of what to do. Written February 21st, 2002 © on Feb 21 2002 12:33 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
