The Waterfall
By erinmichelle
A cold mist sprays us; And we laugh together. Our bodies are numb, But not from the water. We lie together on the ground But the ground is not hard Beneath us, For everything in this moment Is soft, and warm And perfect. We feel eachother And we feel our surroundings. We hear the rushing water Around us, and the birds Up above. Sunlight illuminates us As our bodies entangle. Soon, nature's music is gone, And we can hear our own. It is the sound of our Hearts beating loudly, And the deep breaths that We take. It is so amazing here, In this moment in time. We are alone, Yet we are Together. You and I, it is the time We spoke of, The time that we promised To eachother. Beginning in bliss, Ending in bliss, It is all we could have asked for, And more. We look at eachother, And we smile like always, Beneath this waterfall That is so sacredly ours. Written June 7th, 2001 © on Jun 07 2001 11:06 AM PST 0 • 8
