Angel Baby's Mornin'
By evangelina
i see you sitting on the coffee table with your arms crossed as you pout. hair strung from a night's sleep and t-shirt for bed. you asked me if you could wear your high heels to school. i told you it's cold out and you need to wear your tenneshoes instead. you don't want to wear your blue jeans because you want to wear your dress. but the wind outside would freeze your legs, and you seem not to care. your eyes roll to the side as your mouth turn to a delicate frown. even as your foot taps on the floor in a lady-like demeanor, i can't help but think of the painting this could create. i should take a picture of this, oh no! it's too late. you've already moved from that classic sulky pose. i saw another Rockwell as you stood in the pose of a little girl just waiting to grow up like me. darlin', you just take it easy, okay? 'cause there's nothing better than the days such as this, and i know you don't believe me. but maybe some day, you will finally see that there's nothing better than being a child... so careless and free.trust me, it's a gorgeous painting *smile* Written April 3rd, 2002 © on Apr 03 2002 12:46 AM PST 18 • 0 • 8
