'Black & Blue'

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Beneath lowered brow I see your eyes their unblinking wish to hypnotize Between lips apart in shadowed grin pass creature sounds from deep within The face, a mirror of my own expressed, the thoughts, to each are known Circles stepped in measured death the radius of heavy breath Roaming moisture does collect and on the softness does connect Beginning darker color mesh where the fist does kiss the flesh Force the sense's journey on a path to shining, lightning dawn Every strike to make a mark a place to recall the spark When the eyes do later close over form in supine pose A journey then recalled in sips when flesh is kissed by gentle lips. . I wrote this yesterday, before going to bed. It's something along the same lines as "Warrior". It's a theme I wanted to work with a little more. . .
