Dare To Dream
By FifthRing
Again I dreamt of you, I dreamt of how I wish it could be. Side by side, fingers entwined, your beautiful face smiling at me. Love's tender splendor filling my soul, when your lips kissed the back of my hand. I saw the soft glow of joy in your eyes, like the flames of happiness fanned. Then a temptation stood before you, I felt your grasp begin to slip. My mind was then set atremble, when I could feel only your fingertips. Your gaze no longer upon me, my emotions screamed to make you hear. When you seemed to just notice my presence, a guilty smile then fed my fear. I awakened in bed alone, you had never been there before. When but a hope brings such a sadness, uncertainty is the only thing that is sure. I lay awake in fear of fears confirmed, just to touch would be delight. But pursuit is again withheld, by the uncertainty that I try to fight.. . . Kass poem #5. This was a dream that I actually had.
