Doll (Reprise)

By FifthRing

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Jagged glass cuts into the sky and the thick of the night bleeds in. Through the broken window she sees the light that offers her hope again. But the silence screams so cold and her thoughts but a solemn whisper. Much too faint is her song of hope for it to grow within her. Her heart to share beats slowly as it is shared with none. And the emptiness that surrounds her wants to be her only one. Her hands and face of porcelain skin want a touch they do not know. As the dust is washed from her trembling eyes that burn a moon like glow. Written May 15th, 1995 © on Mar 21 2002 01:37 AM PST   0 • 1
