This poem is the second of a pair. Please read "No Tears To Weep" first. ------------------------------------ I felt her shadow I touched her white face in my hand a sad glow in the night her hollow eyes black as her lips I told her to close 'em let's go for a trip I wrapped myself around her tight keep out the cold keep out the light keep out the world keep out of sight keep your heaven in your head and it'll be all right I said hold on just hold on then I wrapped in a shadow and I felt us burn deep in the black it was all a blur there was only me holding on to her she knew I saw she knew I heard never looked at me never said a word she just holds on just holds on I felt her lonely fade away as her tears finally burned Written December 31st, 1994 © on Mar 01 2002 01:27 PM PST   18 • 0 • 1
