'Night Child'
By FifthRing
Fall the night and rise the moon. Wait to see, not seen too soon. Calmly wait before the stars. Crickets chirp melodic bars. Enchanting sound, the blowing wind. Shadowed trees that gently bend. Youthful child, nightly dressed. Springtime grown grass depressed. Lifted face illuminated. Starring eyes, all dissipated. Solomn child seeks companion. Innocent child needs to depend on. Barren ears seek kind words. Musical melodious chords. Caring hands to touch the heart. Simple laughter to fill the part. Eyes and moon and solomn dreams. Glimpses of what never seems. Youthful child sits uncaressed. Unfelt, the gentle hand suppressed.. . . I've been pretty occupied, lately, so I have not been able to read anything, here, but I at least wanted to post something. This is a poem that I have entered in a few poetry contests, and it also is read on an audio cassette tape called The Sound Of Poetry. . . .
