So You've Got Those Eyes

By FifthRing

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

So you've got blue eyes, the color of the ocean. The depths of the blood of earth, putting life in motion. So you've got gray eyes, the color of a cloud of rain. The heights of the source of blood, healing life that is in pain. So you've got those eyes, eyes I saw when first you came. The only ones that could ever have, the power to control my flame. So you've got those eyes, eyes I saw when you returned. That give me the power to contain, the fire inside for you that burned. ------------------------------------   This is the sequel, but it's not that great.  Little more than leftover thought. "So You've Got Those Eyes  II" So you've got blue eyes. So you've got gray eyes. So you've got those eyes. So somehow to my surprise, you've given to me, the power to realize. So I see those eyes. So I see my dreams come true. So I see in those eyes, the rest of my life with you. Look at me with those eyes. Smile at me with those eyes. Let me live in those eyes. Make me live with those eyes. So you've got those eyes. So you've got those eyes.. . . These were influenced by a song by New Order. I'm no good at remembering the names of their songs. If you are familiar with them, or at least the album titled, "1985", then you may know which song I mean. . . . Written June 13th, 1993 © on Mar 26 2002 07:26 AM PST   0 • 8
